What is the supplier+s self-assessment?
The self-assessment is a short, 19-question questionnaire designed to evaluate your organization’s carbon reduction efforts.
It has two parts:

Organization Overview
Your answers generate a carbon reduction score, a benchmarking against your peers and a transparency level. These values can help you and your customers to better understand your sustainability maturity.
How is the self-assessment structured?

How can I prepare before starting?
You may need input from colleagues responsible for:
sustainability or ESG
carbon accounting
procurement
facility operations
quality or compliance
You can also download all questions as a PDF for internal review.
How long does it take to complete?
Completing the self-assessment itself typically takes 30–60 minutes if the required information is readily available.
Many suppliers need additional time to gather internal input (e.g., from sustainability, operations, or procurement teams). In these cases, completing the self-assessment may take longer. All progress will be saved automatically in the platform, you can work on the questionnaire over the course of multiple days.
If your customer has set a specific deadline, please follow the timeline provided in your invitation email.
Do I need to answer all questions?
No — all questions are optional, but answering more improves your:
transparency level, and
accuracy of your carbon reduction score
that is provided to your clients. And it can help you and your company to gain deeper insights into the status of your own carbon reduction journey.
If a question does not apply to your business operations, select “Not applicable.”
Can I pause and continue later?
Yes! Your answers are saved automatically as you navigate through the questionnaire.
Remember to click Submit when you want your customer to receive the latest version.
I already use other platforms (e.g., EcoVadis, CDP). Can I reuse that information?
Partially — here’s how it works:
supplier+s requires segment-level details (specific to industry and country). Platforms like EcoVadis or CDP do not provide this level of granularity, so you will need to enter reduction measures directly in supplier+s.
For broader information — such as your carbon footprint, reduction targets, or CDP insights — you can usually copy this from your existing reporting into the Organization Overview section.
Many suppliers find that completing supplier+s actually helps improve their EcoVadis or CDP scores, because it structures your climate actions and provides additional metrics (e.g., benchmarks against peers).
What happens after I submit?
After submission:
Your customer immediately receives your responses
Your carbon reduction score updates
You gain access to insights, benchmarks, and learning materials
You can update answers anytime and resubmit
