What is the Import Answers feature?
Import Answers lets you copy answers for the same business segment across countries. After importing, adjust the responses to reflect country-specific conditions.
It is especially useful for suppliers operating in multiple countries with similar production processes or sustainability practices. Import Answers lets you reuse responses to complete the self-assessment faster.
When is Import Answers available?
The Import Answers option is available when you manage the same business segment in different countries. It can be used in guided mode after registration and before your first submission, and it is also available at any time afterwards.
Answers can be imported once you have completed that business segment at least once.
Example: After completing Fabricated Metal Products – China, you can import those answers into Fabricated Metal Products – Pakistan and adjust them to reflect Pakistan-specific conditions where needed.
How do I import answers?
In Carbon Reduction Efforts, open the business segment you want to complete.
Click Import Answers at the top right of the screen.
Select an existing version from the dropdown list.
Review the imported answers.
Adjust anything that differs for the new country or site.
Click Submit to share the updated version with your customer.

How do I choose which information to import?
With the dropdown list, you can choose from previously completed self-assessments for the same business segment, showing:
segment name
country
transparency level
submission status
This makes it easier to choose the best version to import.
Tip: If several country versions exist, choose the highest-transparency version or the one most similar to your operations in the target country.
What information is imported?
All Carbon Reduction Efforts responses are copied.
The Organization Overview is not affected.
Everything can be edited before submitting.
What if I update the original Business Segment later?
Updates do not sync automatically.
If you want newer information reflected in another country’s segment, run Import Answers again. Importing can be repeated as often as needed.
When should I avoid using Import Answers?
Avoid importing if:
Measures differ significantly between countries.
Processes are not consistent across sites.
The same business segment operates differently across facilities.
In these cases, completing the segment manually ensures more accurate results.
