The Import Answers feature helps you quickly complete similar Business Segments without repeating the same work.
It is especially useful for suppliers operating in multiple countries with similar production processes or sustainability practices.
You can access this feature in Self-Assessment → Carbon Reduction Efforts.
What is the Import Answers feature?
Import Answers allows you to copy responses from another Business Segment instead of filling everything out manually.
With the latest update, you can now choose from a dropdown list showing all self-assessments you’ve already submitted for the same segment type, including:
Segment name
Country
Transparency score
Submission status
This helps you decide which existing version is most appropriate to import.
When does the feature become available?
The Import Answers option is available from the start, and you can directly import answers to a new country, once you filled the questionnaire.
For example:
If you fill in the questionnaire for Fabricated Metal Products – China, you will then be able to import answers into Fabricated Metal Products – Pakistan.
How do I import answers using the new dropdown menu?
Open the Business Segment you want to complete.
Click Import Answers at the top right of the screen.
A dropdown menu will appear.
Choose from the list of previously submitted assessments for the same segment type.
Review the imported answers.
Adjust anything that differs for the new country or site.
Click Submit to share updated results with your customer.
💡 Tip: You may see multiple entries for the same segment category (e.g., different countries). Choose the one with the highest transparency or the one most similar to the operations you are describing.
What information gets imported?
When you import answers:
All Carbon Reduction Efforts responses are copied
The Organization Overview is not affected
You can still edit everything before submitting
What if I update my original self-assessment later?
Updates to the original assessment do not automatically sync.
If you want the newer information reflected in the second segment:
Run Import Answers again
You can import answers as many times as needed.
When should I avoid using Import Answers?
Avoid copying answers if:
Sustainability measures differ significantly between countries
Processes are not consistent across locations
The same business segment operates differently across your facilities
In these cases, completing the segment manually ensures more accurate results.
